From exciting new exhibits at the Perot Museum to breathtaking performances at the Dallas Opera, Myerson Symphony Center and the AT&T Performing Arts Center – the Dallas Arts District is great for date night and a day out with your family! What many visitors don’t realize is that the Dallas Arts District boasts some of the best eats in Dallas. Which is why we’ve created a comprehensive guide to dining in the Dallas Arts District. This guide represents some of the best restaurants in Dallas. 

 

Dining in the Dallas Arts District Coffee

 

The Center Café located in the AT&T Performing Arts Center offers guests’ handcrafted coffee and espresso drinks from the Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters along with fresh pressed juice and breakfast pastries. Stop in and choose from a variety of sandwiches prepared on artisanal bread and salads for a quick, grab-n-go lunch! The Center Café also offers shareable pre-performance bites such as charcuterie and cheese paired with wine and beer.

Hours of operation: Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, and 2 hours prior to each performance at the Winspear Opera House.

 

The DMA Café is located inside the Dallas Museum of Art

 

The DMA Café is located inside the Dallas Museum of Art in the Hamon Atrium. Their menu is influenced by the Museum’s global collection. It features artisanal cheeses, handcrafted sandwiches and a variety of regional wines and beers. The DMA Café is the perfect place for lunch after a visit to the Museum!

Also located inside the Dallas Museum of Art is Socca Mediterranean Café. A Socca is a savory chickpea crepe (perfect for gluten-free diners) and a specialty of southern French cuisine – particularly in Nice.

Flora Street Café is chef Stephan Pyles’ newest restaurant concept, located on Flora St. Pyles is creating Elevated Modern Texas Cuisine in an intimate and modern setting. Flora Street Café is known for its meticulous attention to detail from the execution of service to food and beverage design, which pay homage to the culinary arts and fine arts. If you’re looking for an elegant date night destination, Flora Street Café is an excellent choice.

Jorge’s Tex-Mex Café located at One Arts Plaza serves Tex-Mex – a staple in every Texan’s diet! Jorge’s is a great place to enjoy a delicious cocktail (or two) on the beautiful plaza patio for lunch or dinner!

LARK on the Park

 

LARK on the Park is a contemporary, urban restaurant located on the edge of Klyde Warren Park. LARK takes exciting, seasonal cuisine that is familiar to Texans and adds a global influence. Musume at HALL Arts is the Dallas Arts District’s destination for contemporary Asian cuisine and sushi. Complete your visit to the Nasher Sculpture Center with a delicious lunch at the Nasher Café, overlooking the Nasher Garden. Its menu features seasonal sandwiches, salads and soups that are prepared using the freshest ingredients available. Feeling brunchy? The Nasher Café serves a weekend brunch featuring chef-selected specials – and a complimentary mimosa!

Opus, located inside the Myerson Symphony Center’s

Opus, located inside the Myerson Symphony Center’s West Lobby, offers a fine dining experience before each Dallas Symphony Concert. Executive Chef Tim Semenuk creates a new menu each week that tie the cuisine to the performance. Enjoy the bountiful buffet before the evening performance or stop by for brunch on Sunday overlooking the Betty B. Marcus Park.

Klyde Warren Park’s main restaurant, Savor is a modern gastro-pub. It offers a chef-driven menu with shared plates to add a modern twist on traditional pub fare. Executive Chef John Coleman aims to draw people together using a vibrant combination of flavors and an incredible view of downtown Dallas’ beloved green space.

Savor’s kiosk, Relish is a walk-up window offering a quick way to enjoy a gourmet burger infused with a signature relish accompanied by fries or frozen custard.

Tei-An at One Arts Plaza is a highly praised, stylish Japanese restaurant specializing in freshly made soba noodle dishes – one of only 5 in the country that prepares the noodles on the premises. The ARTISAN, located at the KPMG Plaza at HALL Arts, is the Dallas Arts District’s newest neighborhood restaurant and destination for incredible cocktails. Its market-style service offers fast and casual dining in an upscale and modern setting. Executive Chef Jones Reeder presents a variety of hot and cold offerings daily at the chef’s counter, featuring regional flavors as well as global cuisine. Entrees are chef-carved or sautéed in a flaming presentation and served with a variety of hot and cold accompaniments. The ARTISAN’s culinary team uses seasonal ingredients sourced locally to create fresh and inventive menus each day. The chef’s counter is surrounded by refrigerated and hot display cases showcasing a wide variety of chef-prepared packaged cold entrees, sandwiches, salads, tempting pastries and desserts along with market goods, snacks and unique bottled beverages. The ARTISAN Terrace Bar features handcrafted cocktails, premium wines and local craft beers accompanied by fresh, local fare.
