  3. The Dallas Theater Center presents Sweat, a bold look at two factory workers, their friendship and their challenges during the recession of 2000. See this Pulitzer Prize winner in the Kalita Humphreys Theater through February 10th.
  4. The Dallas Museum of Art presents Special Event: The O’Keeffe Sisters and Women of American Modernism on February 2nd, featuring female artists from the first half of the 20th
  5. Selected Shorts: “All in the Family” at the Dallas Museum of Art is a humorous look at families with Melora Hardin and Kaneza Schaal on February 2nd.
  6. What a treat to watch the actual composer direct the orchestra that is playing his own creations!   8. The Great Create 2019 is February 5th. This fundraiser for the Nasher Sculpture Center allows donors to meet artists and try their hand at creating their own masterpieces.
  9. Your children will have fun every Tuesday in February from 11:00 to 12:00 with Music and Stories with Kids Works with fun stories, music and movement at the Dallas Morning News Reading and Games Room in Klyde Warren Park.
  10. The hilarious Doktor Kaboom Lookout! Science is Coming! features student matinees February 5th and 6th in the Wyly Theater. Join the good doctor as he plays with the science behind just about everything.
  11. Your kids will love to create with larger than life soft blocks at Imagination Playground 10:00 to 12:00 on the Great Lawn at Klyde Warren Park, every Tuesday in February.
  12. The conductor of Philadelphia’s Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, Jeri Lynne Johnson conducts Gospel Goes Classic at the Meyerson Symphony Center on February 7th. Proceeds from the performance go to Project Unity, a proponent of community building programs to improve race relations in the DFW area.                                                                                                                                      On February 8th, The Beijing Dance Theater performs a heartfelt depiction of love and betrayal. See this amazing dance company, brought to Dallas by TITAS, at the Winspear Opera House for one night only.

  14. February 8th and 9th, The Dallas Symphony Orchestra presents Remix: Alexander Kerr. This amazing concert features classic pieces and is conducted by the Concertmaster.
  15. AT&T Performing Arts Center presents Dino-Light, A Glow in the Dark Adventure on February 9th at the Winspear Opera House. This fantastical show of puppetry, technology and dance features creatures made from light.
  16. Klyde Warren Park features Kirtan at Klyde Warren Park, the musical mediation of bhakti yoga, At the Muse Family Performance Pavillion, February 9th and 23rd.
  17. The quirky and funny Falsettos tells the story of a man with quite complicated relationships. It plays at the Winspear Opera House February 12th – 17th.
  18. The beautiful 88 Keys Unlock Joan Miro’s Flamenco Dancer’s Heart features live dances inspired by the classic Joan Miro paintings of flamenco dancers. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, this cultural dance performance runs February 14th – 16th at Hamon Hall.
  19. The Dallas Black Dance Theater presents Cultural Awareness, a thoughtful yet exhilarating performance, February 15th – 17th in the Dee & Charles Wyly Theater at AT&T Performing Arts Center.
  20. Encourage your child to participate in the good kind of drama at the Children’s Park at Klyde Warren Park. The Dallas Children’s Theater presents a workshop for kids from 10:30 – 11:30 every Tuesday in February from 11:00 to 12:00.
  21. Klyde Warren Park is a great place to see the Dallas skyline. AdEx leads a 20-minute Standing Tour of the Downtown Dallas’ historic architecture on February 16th.
  22. Dallas Symphony Orchestra presents Opus 100 – James O’Donnell. On February 17th only, the internationally acclaimed organist James O’Donnell performs in the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.
  23. A treat for everyone, Disney’s The Little Mermaid features the orchestra performing the music as the Disney film is shown. This performance is February 22nd – 24th at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.
  24. The Winspear Opera House presents Hymn: Sarah Brightman in Concert on for one show only on February 23rd. See the renowned soprano boasting a three-octave range as she unveils her new album, Hymn.
  25. On February 28th, the Meyerson Symphony Center presents Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, through March 3rd. Karen Gomyo is featured on the violin with Carlos Kalmar conducting.
